A guide to Easter traditions and customs

As part of your eTwinning project about local Easter traditions and customs, you will be involved in an interdisciplinary project on this topic and share your findings with your fellow students from the schools abroad.

The project will consist of three stages (45 minutes each):

Stage 1:
Work in three four-member groups and search online for information and relevant digital material (images, videos, sound) about local Easter traditions and customs according to the instructions in the worksheet projected on the interactive whiteboard of your classroom. Find the group you belong to and start your research!

Group A: Religious Easter traditions and customs on Lefkada
Group B: Dietary Easter traditions and customs on Lefkada
Group C: Folk/Social Easter traditions and customs on Lefkada

Remember to follow copyright rules!
Then, post your findings on the relevant post on the teacher’s educational blog.

Stage 2:
a) Work on your own in the same groups. Write your opinion about maintaining local Easter traditions and customs using arguments to justify your viewpoint on a new post on the teacher’s educational blog.

b) Leave your comments on your classmates’ posts about maintaining local Easter traditions and customs on the teacher’s educational blog keeping in mind Netiquette rules.

Stage 3:
a) Work in the same groups and create digital posters about local Easter traditions and customs using Glogster and the findings of your previous online search.

b) Post the digital posters you have created on the teacher’s educational blog to share your findings with your fellow students from abroad and exchange comments keeping in mind Netiquette rules.

Good Luck!
